Frequently Asked Questions
How often Should i or my child train to achieve progress?
We recommend a minimum of two classes per week for beginners and two-three classes per week for intermediate, and three or more classes a week at the advanced and leadership levels.
What is the main focus of karate training? what is different about it?
Our primary focus is to teach children life skills and strong character. Due to a structure of respect, courtesy and honesty is build in Karate training, children develop the ability to listen, learn and achieve within a highly regulated environment. Most sports don’t build leadership traits. If you have the necessary skills to perform, you’re in the game. If not, you're on the bench. Traditional Martial Arts are different. The program is designed to develop such traits as confidence, self-discipline, better listening skills, honesty, integrity and much, much more. The classes combine the fun and excitement of Martial Arts training with weekly character lessons designed to strengthen our children mentally and physically.
Will Martial Arts or karate training make my kids violent?
No way! Martial arts is about peace, harmony and respect. It teaches children how to AVOID fights - not pick them.
what is a good age to start martial arts?
We have children as young as 3 years old in our Little Ninjas Program, as well as teenagers. We also have specific programs for adults. So no matter where you or your child is on the age spectrum - we've got you covered.
How long does it takes to earn a black belt?
Each individual will progress at their own rate. While achieving new rank is an exciting part of martial arts training, we are not a “black belt factory” and do not promote for the sake of promoting. It depends largely on how many classes you attend, how much you practice, etc. Rarely does anyone achieve a Black Belt in less than three years. We offer quaterly belt advancement opportunities.
